On the left side of the hammer head are stamped the words, in block letters SGT-AT-ARMS/A TUBBS . On the reverse side it reads NEVADA CITY/CAL .Brass caps on top and bottom of cane case. Hollow cane case made of gutta percha. Unscrewing the hammer head reveals an 18-1/2 inch short two edged sword. Ricasso of sword marked JMMES & SOHN/BERLIN. 30% of original silverplate remains on all exterior metal parts.
