Barrel length 5 inches. 90% original shiny blue finish, fading somewhat in places. S.N. 5054 marked on butt and on inside rear of cylinder. Marked “US” on butt. Smith & Wesson factory stamping on right and left side of barrel. Overlay stamping of “WF & CO EX 7 on right side of barrel; also the number 7 stamped on butt. Inspector’s stamps “E and “p” on lower exterior part of barrel; also inspector’s stamping “W” and “p” on inside rear of cylinder. Almost 100% of the original casehardening remains on hammer. Approx. 60% of the original varnish on walnut grips. No cartouche appears on grips. Possibly originally sold as a civilian model. Grips appear to be original to the gun.

Overall in excellent condition. One of the best.
